What's included
More information
Target the area holding your score back. Choose Mathematics — nearly half the test at 24 questions — or Verbal & Reasoning, which bundles Reading Comprehension, Critical Thinking and Numerical Reasoning. Every question mirrors the Bocconi Online Test format and is scored with the real negative-marking scheme, with step-by-step worked solutions.
Mathematics is the largest section of the Bocconi Online Test — 24 of the 50 questions — and the section with a hard floor for the BAI program (you need at least 11 out of 28 in Maths to be considered for Mathematical and Computing Sciences for AI).
Our Mathematics bank follows the official topic list:
- Algebra: polynomials, powers, radicals; first/second-degree equations, inequalities and systems; absolute values
- Functions: notation, inverse and composite functions; graphs of powers, logs, exponentials, absolute value
- Geometry: areas/perimeters of standard shapes; analytical geometry of lines, parabolas and circles
- Trigonometry: sin/cos/tan, identities, right-triangle applications
- Sets & logic of sets: inclusion, union, intersection, complement, Cartesian product
- Logarithms & exponentials: forms, equations and inequalities
- Discrete maths: permutations and combinations, counting (sum/product rules)
- Numbers: ordering, percentages, unit conversions
- Probability: unions/intersections, total probability, conditional probability and Bayes' theorem
- Statistics: frequency distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion
Every question is auto-graded with a step-by-step worked solution.
Together these are 20 of the 50 questions (Reading Comprehension 11, Critical Thinking 9).
- Reading Comprehension tests how well you process a passage — both explicit information and the implicit meaning of the text as a whole.
- Critical Thinking asks you to judge, from the data or passage alone, whether a statement is true, false, or cannot be deduced because information is missing. Note the 3-option Critical Thinking questions carry a heavier wrong-answer penalty (-0.33).
Our banks train the careful, evidence-only reading these questions reward, with worked explanations for every item.
6 questions that aren't about advanced maths — they're about reasoning over the data you're given. The challenge is usually reading a chart or table correctly, separating the information that matters from what doesn't, and doing simple, fast calculations. We drill exactly that, with worked solutions.
Every practice exam is auto-graded the moment you finish, applying the real Bocconi marking scheme (+1 correct, 0 blank, -0.2 wrong, -0.33 on 3-option Critical Thinking questions). Each question comes with a step-by-step worked solution so you learn from the ones you miss — and build the instinct for when answering beats leaving a question blank.
The test is the biggest lever you control
Your Bocconi admission decision is roughly half test score, half transcript — and the test is the part you can still change between now and your round.
- 50-55%
- of the admission decision is your test score
- 50 Q
- in 75 minutes — pacing is half the battle
- 4x
- attempts allowed per year; we prep you to peak on the one that counts
