Bocconi Test Dates & Deadlines: The 2027/28 Admissions Calendar

The Bocconi Online Test has no fixed exam day. You book it yourself, any available date from 13 July 2026 onwards, and what actually constrains you is the application deadline of the round you're targeting — 29 September 2026 for Early, 26 January 2027 for Winter, and 27 April 2027 for Spring if you're eligible for it.^[1]

This page is the full 2027/28 calendar: when you can book, when you must have sat the test by, when applications close, and when results land.

This covers the Bocconi Online Test for Bachelor and Law programmes. It is not the SDA Bocconi MBA test, and not the test for Master of Science or Specialized Master programmes — those have separate calendars.

Deadlines are peremptory — Bocconi's own word. Nothing is accepted afterwards, and no already-submitted application can be amended once the round closes.

Which sessions can you actually enter?

This is the part that catches people, so it's worth being blunt about it: Italian-system applicants get three sessions. International applicants get two.

• Italian-system applicant — you attend, or attended, a school in the Italian system. You can book the test until 20 April 2027, which is what makes the Spring session reachable.
• International applicant — your school is outside Italy. Your booking window closes 19 January 2027, before the Spring session even opens. Early and Winter are your rounds.

If you have read elsewhere that Bocconi has two sessions, or that it has three, both statements are floating around because both are true for different people — Bocconi's English admissions page describes the international view and its Italian page describes the Italian-system view. It causes genuine confusion: on 12 August 2026 an applicant on r/bocconi was told flatly "There's no spring session anymore, it's only early and winter" and answered "I literally called bocconi and they told me to apply during the spring session" (thread). Check your own category before you plan the year.

One more reason not to bank on Spring: Bocconi allocates around 90–95% of places in the Early and Winter sessions, leaving 5–10% for Spring.

When can you book the test?

The webtesting platform opens 13 July 2026. After that:

Booking rules worth knowing before you plan backwards:

• You must book at least 48 hours before the date you want.
• The booked date runs 00:00–23:59 Italian time — you start whenever you like on that day. Technical support only runs 09:00–18:00 Monday to Thursday and 09:00–16:30 on Friday, which is a good argument against a 2 a.m. start.
• Four attempts per test type per academic year. At least 24 hours between purchases, and never two attempts on the same day or on consecutive days.
• Dates are subject to availability, so the closer you leave it to a deadline, the less choice you have.

The deadline that actually binds: the test closes first

The platform shuts a few days before each application deadline. That gap is where people lose a round:

Work backwards from the test date, not the application date. And because you get four attempts and Bocconi counts your best score, the sensible plan is to have your first attempt done well before the last date, so a retake still fits inside the window.

A score you obtained in time for one round can be reused in a later one — you don't have to re-sit for Winter if you already have a score you're happy with.

When do results come out?

Bocconi has published the months, not the days.

The exact days haven't been announced yet. Based on the last two cycles, the Early-session result has landed on the second Wednesday of November both times — 12 November 2025 and 13 November 2024 — released in the late afternoon Italian time. On that pattern, the 2027/28 Early result is expected around 11 November 2026, though Bocconi has not confirmed it.

For Winter and Spring we only hold one exact date each, which isn't enough to call a pattern — expect mid-March and late May respectively, per Bocconi's own wording.

Results are published as two separate rankings — one for the Undergraduate School, one for the Law School — and places are assigned down each ranking from the top. Your points decide, not the order in which you listed your choices.

And the enrollment deadlines?

Not announced for 2027/28 yet. Last cycle they fell about two weeks after each result, all at 15:00 Italian time — 26 November 2025, 26 March 2026 and 29 May 2026. Expect a comparable gap, and budget for it: an admission offer comes with a short fuse.

If you're taking the SAT instead, the calendar is not yours to control

Bocconi accepts the SAT and ACT as alternatives to its own test, and the LSAT or Bocconi Online Test – Law for Law School programmes. The scheduling trade-off is real and it bites every August: the SAT runs on fixed international dates, so a September sitting produces a score only just before the 29 September Early deadline, with no room to retake. Applicants work this out late — "the September SAT results come right before the deadline ends so I could apply with those", as one put it on r/bocconi in August 2026 (thread).

The Bocconi test's on-demand booking is its genuine structural advantage here. If you're deciding late in the cycle, that matters more than which test is "easier".

Dates that cost money

• €60 per test attempt. Four attempts is €240.
• €100 per application — and each session you enter needs a brand-new application and another €100. Applying to both the Undergraduate School and the Law School means two applications and two fees in the same round.
• Paying the €100 does not enter you into the round. The application must be confirmed and submitted through the Apply2B portal before the deadline.

One eligibility date, easy to miss

You may only sit the test if you already hold your upper secondary school diploma or will obtain it during the 2026/27 school year — that is, graduating by July 2027. Sitting it a year early is not a shortcut: the test is invalidated with no refund, and the applicant is excluded from future selection rounds.

The short version

1. Book from 13 July 2026, at least 48 hours ahead.
2. Work backwards from the last test date, not the application deadline — there's a five-day gap.
3. Check your applicant category. It decides whether Spring exists for you.
4. Aim at Early or Winter. That's where 90–95% of places go.
5. Leave room for a retake. Four attempts, best score counts.
